Roof dent repair
in Bellevue & Seattle

Most of the time goes on getting to the back of the panel.

A roof is a wide open panel with almost nothing behind it except the headliner, which is the problem. To work a roof dent from behind, the headliner usually has to come down first. That is why a roof runs half a day to a full day even when the dent itself is not dramatic.

What moves the number on this repair

01

The headliner is most of the job

Dropping a headliner and putting it back without creasing it, without breaking clips and without leaving rattles is careful work in its own right. On many cars that is more of the clock than the dent is.

02

Count and severity move it a long way

One dent from a branch is a different job from twelve dents from hail. The access is the same either way, which is why several roof dents at once are far more efficient per dent than coming back twice.

03

Sunroofs and sensors complicate it

A panoramic roof, a sunroof track, roof-mounted antennas and airbag curtains all restrict what can come down and where a tool can reach. We check that before quoting rather than after.

04

A roof shows everything

It is the panel most exposed to open sky, so it reflects more than any other and hides nothing. Finishing it properly is not optional.

Absolutely great experience. The people are friendly and so helpful. They also did an amazing job. This dent showed up after someone hit my parked car and it had been bugging me for months but now you would not even be able to tell it was ever there. They were fast, accommodating and diligent.

The team provided a fast and reasonable quote for the work I wanted to get done. On the day of the appointment, they greeted me kindly and gave me a timeframe for the job. The final result turned out great and the small dent is now gone.

Questions about this repair

How long does roof dent repair take?

Half a day to a full day. The dent itself is often not the long part. Getting behind the panel usually means removing the headliner, and refitting that without creases or rattles is careful work.

Does the headliner have to come out for a roof dent?

Usually. A roof has no access from underneath while the headliner is in place. On some vehicles and some dent positions we can reach in far enough without a full removal, and that is decided on the car.

Can hail damage on a roof be repaired without paint?

Yes, and the roof is normally the worst affected panel because it faces straight up. The access is the same whether there is one dent or twenty, so doing them together is far more efficient than in stages.

Will removing the headliner cause rattles?

Not when it is done properly and every clip is replaced rather than reused where it matters. Rattles afterwards are a sign of a rushed refit, which is a reason to ask who is doing the work rather than only what it costs.
